FUNDRAISING
One of the realities we embrace, as we are stepping back into the world of being missionaries/ church planters, is the reality of raising support again.
Scary? Sure * Risky? Absolutely * Crazy? Perhaps
Yet we are totally convinced that God is in this, He is up to a great work and many lives will be transformed for Jesus, just like happened in Howard County Maryland, because of this step of faith we took.
In an odd sort of way, Terri and I have become convinced that it would be CRAZY NOT to take this step of faith. If our lives are going to be all about the work of the Kingdom of God, it is crazy not to step out into His will for our lives, because we chose to desperately hold onto that which is safe, familiar and comforting.
So stepping out we go.
While God may not be calling you leave all that you know, cut your income by half and take such risk of faith, it does not mean that you have not been called to participate in this calling of God!
For example – we need your prayers!
I would like for you to consider participating, by supporting us financially in this journey. What a great way to go full circle in your faith, as others once paved the way for you to know God. While I will be working part time for Bluefield College, most of that income will cover our benefits (heath insurance has gotten expensive!). The church plant itself will provide our base salary. It takes three to five years for a church to become self-sustaining, and that does not include the year of prep time before launch!
So as you can see, one-time tax-deductible gifts, as well as ongoing support, would mean the world to us.
So far, just under half of our needs have been raised for the first year. We are still working out the budgeting figures to launch this new church, but right now it looks to be in the neighborhood of 120k a year. Some of these resources are coming from places like NLCF, Journey Church, Virginia Baptist and more.
We are not beggars and we wont ever use guilt, we know God will provide, we just want to give you the chance to participate.
If you would like to give online you have three ways you can do so.
1st is to give through The Network of Giving. After you click on the link, just simply sign up, it is a very easy process. After you have singed in, click on the ORGANIZATIONS tab up top. Then look for one of our sponsoring churches called NLCF. Click on the DONATE tab under NLCF. Be sure to (and this is very important), you mark under FOR WHICH FUND: BLUEFIELD CHURCH PLANT. It is that easy.
The 2nd online way is to go to your online bank account, or PayPal, and have checks sent to one of our sponsoring churches:
