We just returned from our February trip to Bani, Dominican Republic, and we got to see the well project first hand. For those that don't know, Cornerstone raised enough money to enable Pastor Esdras to have a well for clean water, next to his church. The water out there is not safe, it is crazy expensive to buy clean water and often dirty water is bottled and is sold as "clean" water. It is so sad to see children drinking from water out of the river that is so badly contaminated!
Esdras will sell the reliable water at a cheap price and it will help support the local ministry as well as local economy.
While we were there, the health inspector came by and gave the well his STAMP OF APPROVAL! They plan to go public on March 7th!!! The system was quite impressive. Below is a pictorial of the process. (for you engineering types - yes there are odds and ends not shown - an overall view)

******* THE PEOPLE have been cheated and lied to so much about their water, Pastor Esdras knew it would be important to have a professional appearance so he does not look like a fly by night operation. Below is a few pics of how we transformed the entry way.
